Sharp-tailed Grouse
Tympanuchus phasianellus
Synopsis: Once breeding widely in eastern Oregon, this species was extirpated by the early 1980's but was reintroduced to Wallowa County (Parsnip Creek area, north of Enterprise) in 1994.

Relative Detectability: This species is fairly easily detected, and is monitored within its limited range by Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife.
